Information Literacy (IL) has been defined, since 1989, by the American Library Association as the knowledge enabling an individual to understand when and why he/she needs information and the possession of skills enabling him/her to find, evaluate and exploit it effectively, eventually equipping him/her with the ‘learn how to learn’ capacity (Clapsopoulos et al., 2014).
