ILSEAB's main aim is to support Information Literacy initiatives and programs undertaken by Greek academic libraries. There is no other such tool supporting Greek librarians and the anticipated benefits are: 

• Creation of a single point of service where HEAL-Link end-users and librarians may uniformly be supported in their information literacy activities .
• Online help regarding use of HEAL-Link's electronic subscriptions and services
• Online help supporting end-users to develop as independent users searching, evaluating and ethically using information sources.
• Reference support and training of information professionals regarding library tools, standards and guidelines.
• Development and adoption of a lifelong learning culture by all ILSEAB users
